Hey folks, so I'm in the market for a new old sportster for a custom chop job. I was initially lookin at 1200s for the default displacement factor but after looking into Hammer performance parts and reading up, now I'm leaning towards a '01-03 883, as I've heard there's 'more' gains to be had. Any thoughts on this subject?
If you don't have a Sportster at present then I don't see how you can know what gains you are getting. A rider with a 883 ought to feel more performance increase compared to a 1200 owner for sure.
If you find a good in budget bike regardless of displacement will the upgrade to Hammer be the same cost?
