Welcome from Southern Ohio USA. I would buy the one that vibrates the least. Truthfully, If you will be riding a lot, buy the one that is the most comfortable.

i just cant express how thankful i am to all your help and comments, you guys are extremely welcoming.
well the blue one is a 2000 model, it was imported from the states in 09 and there is absolutely no approximation to what the actual mileage could be.

Welcome from Western Canada.
I'd fire them both up and see which one sounds like it's running better.
Those drag bars might be tough if you ride a lot for any distance.
The 2nd one is cheaper its also newer and with a new rear tire, cover the seat and some tlc it might be an ok ride.
Are they both the same size motor?? Same mileage??
There's a lot of variables i'd need answered to be able to answer your question.
If it's strictly on looks now I'd go with the first one.

you might find the prices a bit higher than they should be because of taxes and customs

That's not that much more expensive than here in the states. I've had 3 Sportsters in that age range, the 1997 883's I got for $2,000 each and the 2001 1200 was $2,700.

How are your mechanical skills?

Both are rigid engine mount bikes with carburetors and are pretty simple to work on. Both are very reliable bikes if they haven't been abused and have received regular maintenance.

As to the missing speedometer, you could go factory, which if the wiring is there would be best because you would get all the warning lights. you could go with an aftermarket digital speedometer like a Trailtek Vapor (also can be wired for warning lights). There are tons of cheap ones on Amazon that would just give you speed and mileage (KMs). A final option is to just buy a phone mount and run a USB power point to the handlebars and use your phone as the speedometer.

I'd ride both to see which one is most comfortable for me. But, personally, I like the first one. You can always get an upgraded speedo for it.
