If you want to install this lamp:

On the front assistant for my bike = sporster 1200 >2018

How many inches do I need

same like this :

That is the fork tube.

A rough measurement with a rule or better as Midpegs shows a caliper.

It should be fairly obvious if it is 39mm or 49mm.
