This may sound like a stupid question. Those of you who relocated the coil to the horn location I have two questions;
Did you ever get a shock from the coil it being so close to your leg?
Where did you mount your horn?
The horn location on my Iron was between the frame down tubes, so no I did not relocate it there.
I did, however, relocate the coil to the location between the cylinders using a custom mount.
My horn is a Stebel Nautilus air horn that is mounted where the left-hand forward controls typically mount.

1. Nope, never. The outside body of the coil pack isn't charged, you'd have to touch a frayed load/spark wire to get shocked.
2. Deleted the horn, personally rarely have a use for it. Seems like most people who relocate the coil just delete the horn. I drive pretty defensively, have had maybe 2 times in the past 5 years where it would have been handy. That's just me, I'm sure the bulk of the users here would say to keep it.

I had a 1200 horn kit on my 883, but realized I had maybe used it once in 30 years, so I deleted it when I did my 1250 kit. Bike looks much cleaner, and the black cylinders make a good contrast with the aluminum heads.
