i have a stock 2007 sportster xl 1200C .. i was wondering what the top speed on these bikes are ..
only up grade i have is the stage one air filter and some python pipes. but im really just looking for a rough idea
Given the gear ratio and a 6000 rpm rev limiter the max top speed would be 126. Adding rider weight and other real world factors will make the actual top speed somewhat loweras thumper26 said.
So I drove it off the show room floor and headed home. 2007 XL1200N with no upgrades. Then some Japanese cruiser with a custom paint job comes up on me on the highway. I couldn't tell you what it was. Definitely 1000cc or up. It was obvious soon that we were going to play. I was very impressed that I would always pull on him and over take him. At 115mph, my fat 210lb., two children butt, was thinking "this is why I bought another Harley, and left those dangerous crotch-rockets in the past." Obviously that did little good. This little rocket is too much fun, and begs to be opened. That was the fastest it has ever FELT for me on a motorcycle. I've actually topped 170mph numerous times. I love that it feels fast when I am going 60. But short-story long. 115mph.

No joke about feeling fast, I rode a GSXR-1000 for 3 weeks only had the nuts to get it up to 115. I go 70 on my 1200N and I feel like I'm going 115. So much wind hitting me.
