Default more power for my Sportster

I have been playing with the idea of a 1200 conversion on my 883C, but have been dragging my feet about it. It goes plenty fast for me, but I want more power on the hills and and things like that. I have straight drag pipes on my bike. My friend who owns Outlaw Choppers suggested that I put in some baffles to create some back pressure and give me more power. He ordered some, and we tried them out. They were longer ones, and when I rode with them in, I felt like my engine had been replaced with a sewing machine engine. It was pretty sad. So we got rid of those and he ordered some short ones. At first when I tried it, I was not impressed with it. He took a screwdriver and bore down the middle of it so that there was a bigger hole allowing for better air flow through. This is perfect. I still have the sound that I want, and there is noticably more power there. Really happy with the difference. Going to go on a longer ride to Lincoln, Mt. (home of the Unibomber) tomorrow morning. Looking forward to seeing how she does on the big hills and over Rogers Pass.

It looks like your friend saved you a ton of money.
If your happy how it runs. Then theres no need to
to do an up grade.
With all the money you saved, you shouldbuy your best friend a
luggage rack for his bike. BTW he has an07Street Glide
