I want to order some saddle bags this week just a few questions. I want to go with a soft leather set. Can some one provide bag dimensions they have on thier sporty. I want to put a set on my 05 1200c . Also do a need to buy brackets to keep them in place. Also do I have to relocate the rear turn lights? I would like to get this style
GunLocators, it really depends on the bags themselves. Some manufacturers claim "no brackets needed, which is the case of the inexpensive bags I just put on mine.
Some Harley applications call for brackets and axle covers as well, along with light relocation.
The deminsions of mine are 14 1/2" wide / 11" high / 4" thick opening.
Hopefully, someone will be along shortly to better advise you.
Gunlocator,
I got soem real nice leather bags from a place called cycle works (99$) and got 2 HD emblems (13$ a piece) and now have great looking bags. No brakets needed, just take the screw off behind the deat, slide bags under seat. Put screw back in seat and ride............
Check out the other post about saddle bags. I attached a picture.
GunLocators, I just realized you posted a pic of Willie and Max bags. They are really nice bags but I don't think they are leather. Whether that's a good thing or not is a personal preference.

They are well made and stiff. I conditioned mine inside and out before I installed them. They'll do the job for me just fine. And they a insanely inexpensive.
