Sooo, if you know what this is, you've been behind the clutch assembly and the main transmission gear. THRICE I say, thrice!! The F*"#^& tiny springs have come off. Very simple process, but time consuming and quite a few steps to get back there.
The question is; has anyone run into this before? Once, meh. Twice dammit!! Thrice!! Ahhhh. Bent shaft?
I have not read of these springs coming off, except maybe one time, and I think it broke IIRC. I have not read about it over on XLF, either. Gotta be a big PITA to have to go in there three times, good luck!
I can get it all back together in about 2 hours. But new primary gasket, new oil, clean the old loctite off the bolts and out of the holes, new loctite, etc. Huge PITA.
