Starting issues
New guy here. Have an issue I can't seem to figure out. Have a 99 1200 custom. Bike ran fine then when leaving work would not start. Replaced ignition coil and had no issues for about 3 weeks. Same problem occured. I have replaced electronic module for mechanical about 7 years ago. A friend suggested vacuum control module. Anyone have any thoughts that might help. Thanks brothers

The "Vacuum Control Module" is a Vacuum Operated Electrical Switch. All the VOES does is trigger the advance/retard of the electronic ignition. Electronic and mechanical ignitions use different coils. Such as 3 ohm for electronic and 5 ohm for breaker points. When is the last time you inspected the 7 year old conversion breaker points? Might wanna check for burned/pitted contacts and a bad condenser. PLEASE, do yourself a Big Favor. Get a HARLEY DAVIDSON FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL.
