Default 2019 vs 2020 Service Manual

I have a 2019 forty-eight special and looking to pick up a service manual. I can get a used 2020 manual... I'm sure there are not many differences between the years ... if any. Correct?

I can't answer your question but only offer that HD from time to time change how some fasteners are done up. One example is the bolts that hold the rear belt pulley. The bolts haven't changed but in 2008 they were done up to 60 ft-lbs with threadlock. In 2017 that changed to using 2 different settings and a procedure like they were stretch bolts going from 60 ft-lbs to a final 80 ft-lbs. No Loctite and single use.

I only have those 2 years so I don't know when the change happened.

Sounds good to me. Gotta be close enough.

The only mechanical difference that I'm aware of is the length of the rear shock absorber mounting bolts, 2004 to 2019 upper bolts are 1/2-13 x 2-1/4" and the lower bolts are 1/2-20 x 2-1/2". 2020 to 2021 the upper bolkts are 1/2-13 x 2-1/2" and the lower bolts are 1/2-20 x 2-3/4".

Thanks for the replies guys ... although I'm sure there are hardly any differences ... and given your input ... I think I will just spend the extra 50 bucks for the 2019 manual. Cost for a peace of mind I guess.
