Sportster clutch release plate
2021 Iron 1200 with 4K miles
It looks like he was digging at the circlip with something way stronger than the release plate.
It is probably okay, I don't know for sure, but remove any burrs before putting it back. In other words if you put it back together with the circlip and it doesn't fall out it will be okay!

He had a pair of shitty snap ring pliers that I couldnt use to get them separated. Asked him for help, walked away for a couple seconds and he ended up taking it apart with the snap ring pliers along with a metal pick. Assuming he used the metal pick to dig the snap ring out
and I broke the replacement pressure plate. I ordered a Barnett extra plate kit along with their 25% stronger diaphram spring. Diaphram spring did not want to go in no matter how much I tired. Figured I wasnt tightening the clutch tool enough and when I went for a couple extra turns the pressure plate cracked on me. Funny enough I still couldnt get the seating ring and snap ring to set in to place even after I racked the pressure plate. Came to the conclusion my diaphram spring was the incompatible part and ordered a new pressure plate (again)
