I'm new to motorcycling and I recently bought a Softail Slim FLS 103. I just noticed some oil on the engine. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Hope someone can help explain.
You have a different engine design, but I can't think of what might send oil up that way. It's just a long stud which should not be drilled into an oil galley. IDK, hopefully you get more help in the correct forum area. Good Luck. Looks like a really clean bike, so it's likely not a big issue.
For a new motorcycle, looks like assembly lube. Clean it up and see if it comes back.
Is that some type of ornamental nut covers. Maybe someone lubed them to snap them on..
PS.. thats one big Sportster....
