Lots of options out there and lots of opinions on here. I run an HD Quick release std. hgt. on mine since I like to pull it off and ride when not doing a lot of hwy. miles, the QD does not leave any hardware or connection points behind on the forks costs $269.94 plus shipping through www.zanottimotor.com (price seems to have gone up some since I got mine but still cheaper than local dealers).
I have the Harley quick detach on mine. It was on my bike when I bought it used. However, I don't use the quick detach part because I don't ride without a windshield. It is handy for removing and putting back on when I am detailing my bike.
Slipstream makes a windshield that looks EXACTLY like the HD ones, and costs about half as mutch. Unfortunately they do
not have the quick release option on them, but if you plan on putting it on, and leaving it there they are a great option.
capptawest is exactly right. detachable HD from Zanottis. I think shipping was $20 on mine for a total of about $289.Would not drive without it now. I worry a little about the quick release; it is so damn quick that almost anybody could walk up and take it off in 20 seconds and walk away with it.
My bike looks nearly identical to Capttawes ride, same color and all...I have the same setup and picked mine up thru the stealer when they had a spring sale. Still paid over $300 (don't remember the exact amount). I use it on my rides into work during the week and longer rides on the weekend.. I take it off on the weekends and when I go to a bike night. As the weather gets cooler, I'm sure it will be on the bike a lot more...

I feel mine looks better with out it, but sure makes it nice at 70+. I have that one as well....take it off around town and when I know I am gonna ride uder 60 or so. Or no farther than 100 miles or so. Out on the HWY for long periods, it's great.
It has been off more than on, but glad I have it.
