My tssm shorted out. sounds simple doesn't it. Well, the part is obsolete and so is the tsm. I've got a half a dozen dealers in 3 or 4 states looking and haven't had any luck. I did find one at Legacy Harley in Odessa Tx. but they wouldn't ship it to me. By the time I got that figured out they had already sold it. Ebay doesn't have one. If someone has one - knows where I can get one - or knows a work around to this issue I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your help.
I've got a '06 1200L and the tssm shorted. The part is obsolete and sold out everywhere I've looked. Any ideas where I might find one or does anybody know a work around for this issue ? Can't even get one on ebay. Hate to think I've got a 600 lb. paperweight for lack of a 100 dollar part. Thanks
There has to be a work around. Probably need to contact a dealer or certified independent. I see you are in SoCal. You might call Moreland Choppers in Solana Beach, they are HD authorized and do a great job. Never heard a bad word about them, my girlfriend loves the place, they seem to give her a lot of great deals. I wonder why?
Give Moreland Choppers in Solana Beach a call. I can't believe there's not a work around for this. I thought I already gave the same advice earlier today. http://morelandchoppers.com/
Post up over on XLforum.net as well, they have an Electrical section for Sportsters. Someone has a fix for this problem.

The full SP for the TSM / TSSM is that it contains the bank angle sensor and security system. It has the gubbins to stop the engine from being started whilst bike is in gear apart from auto cancelling indicators.
What you can do is ground the TN/GN wire that goes to the starter relay and you should be able to start the bike without the TSM.
