I have a 2010 883N Sportster and just had a battery die after like 8 years.. I tried to find that exact battery again but couldn't - I've been burned by cheap batteries in the past so I was looking at H-D AGM ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT BATTERY but it's backordered and October is best time to ride in my area.. I could buy it at the dealership for a markup of about $30 (over online price) but would prefer not to.. anyone with a recommendation, thanks in advance.. John

Rumor has it that Deka is/was the maker of the OEM battery. You can find Deka batteries at various online vendors (to include Amazon). Presumably, they can also be found being sold as house/aftermarket brand names (for example Napa Legend, Duralast, Big Crank etc.).

I have the batteries plus bulbs midsize lithium in my Sportster 1200 for a year, no problems at all. I do not have a security system. Slightly smaller than the original but much stronger and has a 3 yr replacement warranty. Its about 140 bucks now.
I ended up buying The Napa Legend @ NAPA for around $130. It looks a lot like the battery I just got 8+ years out of from NAPA a while back (might be the same/different label) and yes made by Deka as the above reply said.. I asked the guy at NAPA and he told me that that battery (maybe all NAPA batteries) are made by Deka.. hoping to get 8+ years out of this one but I doubt that will ever happen again.. that battery was a freak. I did not take care of it and left it in the bike (no charger) in the cold over the winter yearly. There were spring's that it started after sitting all winter in the bike (no charge) and our winters are around half the year here in Buffalo.
