Hello, John,

We spell air without the "e", Aire is actually a river in Yorkshire that flows through the city of Leeds.

It gets me going when people who write menus incorrectly add an "e" to words by spelling tomato as tomatoe and potato as potatoe.

We had a former vice president misspell potato rather famously a few years ago.

Well, if the MoCo says it's safe then it must be true.

Isn't motorcycling considered to be inherently dangerous to begin with?

It doesn't matter much. Stock size for my bike was a 130 and I went to a 150. The rubber mounts went to a 150 and have the same geometry so apparently the MoCo decided it looked better with a 150. A 180 is too much. The bike would resemble Kim Kardashian.

I like that look, especially on a lowered bike.

I think the coolest looking Sportster I've ever seen was a lowered, stripped down early 60s Iron Head with polished aluminum rims, 130 on a 4.5" rim out back

Now you're really getting dangerous. The safety police are going to cite you.

Default Forty Eight rim conversion to 4.25 inches?

Hello, everyone. I am the owner of a 2015 Forty eight and I am thinking of changing the rear spoked wheel RIM for a 4.25 inch one (stock is 3 inch). If I buy the 4.25 RIM and the spokes, can I change them to put a 170/70 -16 tire using the original remaining parts of the wheel? I think it is the easiest conversion to fit a wider tire safely following the wheel manufacturers recommendations of tire and rim width.
Thanks.
B.

The rim would need to be drilled for your specific hub or you could run into problems!

Thanks for your answer. I plan to use the original hub and only change the wheel rim for a wider one so I can put the new tire on.
