just picked up an old iron head. In a chassis along with a bunch or other parts. It’s not in the original frame And the engine serial number is on the rh side and starts with drf and it’s only 9 digits. I’m not 100% sure what year it is. I think it’s a 1971 900? But I’m not sure.
Can't see the VIN but I'll take a shot on it. It's got 900 on the primary cover. 1972 was the 1st year of the 1000. Since I do not see a magnito or distributor on the camcover, that makes it a 1971 Ironhead. Here's my 77 XLH.
