Person has a 1992 Sportster, wondering if bags designed for '04 later Sportster can be made to fit?

 

I too wonder this as there is a set of old school looking pony express bags that I really like.

Edit: they were called the express rider bags

 

The spacing between the mounting holes was the same, so now the other concern will be turn signal relocation.

 

Certainly on the newer bikes with the indicators on the frame struts they need to be relocated to take a full size saddlebag that mount at the mudguard mounting bolts.
