So I was driving to work knowing my oil was low, well of course that’s never good. On the highway the bike lost power for a few seconds then jumped back up to 100%, it did this twice then ran full power until I parked it. When I pulled off the highway I began to hear the engine start knocking/ tapping. I proceeded to pull into the parking lot at work and checked, wasn’t completely dry of oil but it was super low.
Well I’ve fixed the leak and added oil and went to turn her over again and still hearing the knock, is it new engine time or any remedy’s?
Hard to say without seeing and hearing it, but it’s never a good scenario when your bike is that low on oil.
And considering it “lost power” twice, it sure sounds like you did some internal damage. Especially since you say it’s still knocking after topping the oil off.
Where's the knock coming from? Bottom or top end? And what does it sound like? You'd have to post a video or something for anyone to really be of any help I think.
