I had a pair of genuine H-D bags on my '08 Sportster and the relocated turn signal interfered with the bag opening. I sold the bags. I've got a pair of rapid release Viking bags which are nice, the only drawback is they stick out rather far. Live and learn.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. It's a bit late now but, these saddlebags by Saddleline goes on and off in a snap without relocating your lights. The only thing you might have to move is the tags. They probably have more room than the Vikingsvtoo.

They look great on the website, but photos and reviews are lacking. I'd like to see some actual customer bike photos, plus see the mounting hardware on the bike, and the quick release mechanisms. Could be a very good option.

Yeah that's why I didn't want the quick-release. Sticks out too far.
