Default Fork Bushing Removal Question

I just freshened up the forks on my 2015 XL883N with brand new everything, but during the install, I damaged one of the new upper bushings. I had to finish rebuilding the forks, so I reused one of the old ones. I want to replace the used one with a new one. My question is will removing the old upper by tapping it out with the new lower, damage the new lower bushing?

I haven't been in a Harley fork, but a fork is a fork right? At least most old rwu damper rod forks are very similar, and yes, there's a real good chance you'll damage the new lower bush using it to drive out the upper.
If you can't wait for parts I'd have both waiting when you pull it apart.

The bushing costs less than 7 dollars.

I didn't really notice any major damage on the old lower bushings when I took the forks apart. They weren't mushroomed out or anything. But the wear metal/coating part of the bushing was near completely gone, so I cant tell if that would get damaged. I just hate to buy a new pair of both upper and lower, or spend more on singles, after I just replaced them.

Cool? That doesn't mean I'd like to throw away another 7 dollars after I just replaced that bushing.

At least you didn`t listen to my advice and throw away half of your paycheck on a 7 dollar bushing.
