Looking for insight or guidance. I have a 2022 Sportster 48 with a cracked intake manifold. Unfortunately i have to replace the next higher assembly which is the entire induction module - HD Part #27200024. I haven't been able to find anything on ebay or other after market website, only HD Part #27200022 which i think comes on the '21 Iron series. Looking to see if anyone has ever had the same issue or if yall know the parts are interchangeable? trying to avoid paying +$600 if i can help it, as the other part number is significantly cheaper.
THAT is NOT the intake manifold. THAT is the THROTTLE BODY. If the small crack goes through the backside, JB Weld it from the backside. The repair won't be visible, so neatness does not count.
The screw could be too long. There was a rash of similar issues a few years ago. I think people bought an SE (or other) aftermarket aircleaner and reused the stock screws, or something like that. Either way, be sure to check it. JB Weld should be fine as TST recommends. Keep an eye on Ebay, or perhaps you can find a motorcycle salvage shop online.
You can see where the cracked part has been pulled toward the screwhead, which leads me to think it's too long.
