I'm not exactly sure on the PC's price, but I'm guessing its lower than that. And to be honest, don't spend your money on anything untill you do ALOT of research and read as many user opinions you can get your eyes on. And also dont forget that every bike is different. Mine ran like crap from the factory while others are flawless. Yours may work quite well with the FP while mine didnt.
Kind of a crap shoot I guess.
But anywho, here's a pic of my ac. You said you were after something different. Theres not a whole lots of choices right now for the 07's and newer sportsters. https://www.hdforums.com/upfiles/375...17B198485F.jpg
I only have 500 miles on my bike right now, but it's running great. I hate to compromise a quality ride for sound, but I just need that "Harley sound". I wonder how much the proper ac plays a factor with my V&H Short Shots.
I had 50 miles on mine and I hated the way it ran and sounded. Trying to ride slowly through town was a nitemare. 35 in second gear and she jerked, missed, hesitated, cut out whatever you want to call it. And still does. The stock mufflers cover up the popping nicely to someone that doesnt know any better. High rpm's, everything is perfect untill I let the throttle go. Pop Pop Pop and more popping.
I love my ride, dont get me wrong. But for the amount of money I spent, it should at least run normally.[:'(]
I caled the dealer to see about completing my stage 1. They "suggested the pcIII" and about 3 hours of dyno time ??? Lots of bucks - apox 800 ... Also looking for a little cheaper way of getting it done, will have to ax about just the download ...
