Use the carb that came with it, the CV carb is reliable and functions well. If it is not running correctly, check the intake manifold seals and maybe rebuild the carb.
If you cannot find original parts for it at your dealer, go with CV Performance parts. Do not buy parts off Amazon (Chinese), they may or may not work well.

As stated above, the CV40 is a good carb that is very reliable and easy to work on. Unless you have done some significant engine mods there is really no benefit to moving to a mikuni or S&S. The best upgrade is getting the CV performance delux kit for it.
Assuming were talking about a stock bike with maybe aftermarket pipes and air cleaner, that is the best option if you're hell bent on changing the carb, but that's a lot of $$$ and work for little, if any, gain.
I'm surprised it does not include a new accelerator pump diaphragm and screws. I used CVP parts as well on my bike. Might as well change the intake manifold seals while you have the carb off, then everything is nice an refreshed.
