Bike missing.
The wife and I were out riding yesterday and all of a sudden her bike starts sputtering and loses power going up hill. We stopped to check things out but could not find anything wrong. I don't think it was bad gas because we both filled up at the same place.it also has new plugs,and new air filter. bike is a 2002 883. any suggestions would be helpful..

Do you by any chance have the spark plug headbolt covers, I did on my 2000 they seemed to slowly kill my bike at lower speeds and while going up hill sounds like the exact same problem I had, but after I took them off it all went away

Prolonged riding at full throttle up a hillmay have lowered the vacuume enough to shut off the fuel petcock, then it's just a matter of a few seconds before the float bowl runs dry. This would be especially likely if you have a small vacuume leak to start with.
Not sure if the 02 has the vacuume shut off on the petcock though.
