hey i just got the 1000 mile service on my bike. on the way home at right at 70 it vibrated like hell. never has done that before. i made the switch to amsoil. the old lady might like the vibration but i dont. anyone know why this is happening.
Something's out of balance for sure! Is your rear wheel tight? (maybe there was a belt adjustment and, well, you know...) Did the wheel(s) have any balance weights that are now gone after the service (I know, who looks for 'em?) Are all engine mounting bolts tight? Are any rubber mounts cracked or broken?
I'd take it back to the dealer who did the 1K service and explain the problem. They need to make it right for you, one way or the other. This is a condition that reads: "riding this bike in thiscondition could cause serious injury or death". NO JOKE!
Does this read like an engine or wheel vibration??
If you accelerate through it and pull in the clutch and coast back down, does it vibrate?
Not that it matters under warranty, just curious what it might be, as I might be riding an '07 model in few yearsand want to build up the knowledge database...
Please post what was found after the dealer fixes it!!
