What is NHRS??
Well I ment to write NRHS, but they are performance specialists that deal largely with sportsters/buells. If I were to have my engine rebuilt for performance, then I would probably go with them:

In the past you wouldn't have benefited from a new ignitition module, but these new sportsters can actually gain some hp with a new module. That was found out my NHRS by accident. If I was to get one, then I would go with a tc88a. You just have to decide if it's worth the money for a couple hp. It does allow to tune a lot of things, but you need to know what you're doing.

You can gain or lose hp with any engine's ignition timing curve. Thats nothing new, I doubt NRHS found out that on "accident". It all depends on how well the ignition map is dialed into the engine on hand. Daytona Twin tecs TC88A modle is nice and a good buy for the money but if Im going to be doing an all out performance build with a carbureted motor I would choose S&S's IST ignition as a first choice. It is hands down the best iginition module on the market. Its $$$, but worth every penny. It adjusts your ignition on the fly for best possible performance without pinging the engine. So if you ever change parts, load on the bike(like 2up riding), even gas octane, it will change the timing for optimal performance. No tinkering around needed. I used to run a DTT TC88A module, and it worked well, but I was contantly tinkering with the ignition map depedning on how I was using the bike, then I switched over to the IST, and it was a big upgrade.

MegaHD....That S&S ignition mod sounds pretty sweet. I'm going to look into it. I would assume if it's installed and setup right, I wouldn't loose any HP, right? So in your opinion, will you actually feel the difference when riding the bike? Sounds like it might be worth the money....

I have the slash Screamin' Eagle slip ons on my '05 and the sound is really good, not obnoxious loud if that is what you are looking for, and for sure louder than stock.

When the dealer installed them and brought the bike out to me, I couldn't believe it was the same bike.

Those mufflers are catalyst muffers. Does your '06 have a catalyst on it? That is something new for the Sportsters as '05 models do not have a catalyst. I read the only catalyst equiped models for '06 would be the California models. You might want to double check what you have on your bike...

I agree on the S&S ignition, the TwinTec TC88 is a good one, but like Mega said, seems like a lot of work to really dial in the ignition map (amazing what playing with your spark advance will do to your performance). And the SE ignition - doesn't it just mostly raise you rev limit to about 7000 RPM? Not sure if it's worth it for you - for overall around town riding (i.e., not draggin' at the strip or spending time at track days or really conquering twisties) an ignition may end up being more for show...

On my situation/ trade (05 for an 06), the only thing that was swapped from the 05 was the exhaust pipes - they only had 2k miles on them and since the dealer didn't have a new set in stock, I said putum on. All the other add ons were new, so I'm not sure about a catylist change on the 06
