True! Ok, so the 'general consensus' coming from OFG is that they're the best.... that's good enough for me! I'll have to see carries them. Thanks

I had to drag out the chaps a couple of days ago. Damn, I hate those things.

I wore my leather jacket during the day today. I thought it was old at about 8 years. Guess I'm wrong. Schott. I think I saddlesoaped it last year. Hey, I'm gonna hook it right now with some saddle soap and then Lexol and see how it feels. Echo to what dallas said about getting caught in the rain in a jacket. My jacket is like Levi's 501's fit me perfect.

I wore chaps to work all summer as I had shorts on underneath, I thought the 90 deg heat would be a bitch but not so bad, glad I bought good ones ( Fox Creek ) wish I would of been that smart regarding a jacket, WTF live and learn.

I've had extremely good luck with Wilson's jackets (and other leather products) over the years. Here's a link to their current jacket that looks like OFG's: http://www.wilsonsleather.com/produc...entPage=family(Darn good price.)

Wonder if the 'newer' Wilson's no longer have the Thinsulate lining?

My old vintage Wilson with the side lacing has the permanent Thinsulate lining and 1/2 belt. The other one I wear has a zip out Thinsulate lining (over a nylon lining), and has a full belt.

But as I mentioned, I can vouch for the quality of any newer jackets made by various manufacturers, but the older Wilson products are top notch and made to last.

My dad gave me his old Brooks jacket when I bought my Sporty this past summer. I'm having a new liner put in it and had to recondition the leather on it as it has been sitting in the closet for the past 35 years or so. All in all, I think it has held up pretty well. The jacket itself is probably 45 years old. Not sure if it will out last my riding days or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't.

Well. This is my second season of riding a Harley. Riding in 31 or less degrees. I'll never own chaps..But to each his own!

I wear a Cortech mesh jacket with armor in it. Bright yellow. When this mesh gets soaked, it dries in about a day. Oh, and it can be put in the washer after the armor is taken out. I did that, and it completely removed all of the bug spots and all of the bug parts that were plastered across the front. Came out looking like brand new.

And it has a windbreaker liner and a thermal liner as well (that can be put in at the same time). With all liners out it can be worn in90+ degree weather without getting hot because the air flows through it. It's a sweet jacket and I'm extremely happy with it.

But it's probably not "hard core" enough for you guys. Did I mention that it's bright yellow?
