Hi all,
Has anyone seen that headlamp nacelle from HD? It replaces the bullet style headlamp cup and puts the headlamp in a big cast and chrome front like the fatboys and etc bikes. Does anybody have any thoughts on this thing? Has anybody done this to their ride? I want to get some peoples ideas on it before I dish out 200 bucks on it.
Thanks for any or all inputs.
I haven't seen one on a Sportster. But strictly a matter of opinion from the picture it looks out-of-place on a Sportster. It's one of those things that to me fall under the category of trying to make a Sportster look like a big twin. But then my idea of a proper Sportster is probably much narrower han most. If you like it that's all that matters, go for it. There used to be a Sportster model that had a big seat and the headlight nacelle.
Keith,
If you can get your hands on the HD 2006 Parts Catalog, (most dealers give them out free) they have a Sporty in there with it on but the front tire is not the 21" thats on the 1200C. I believe it's the 19" front tire that looks a little wider. I tend to agree that the nacelle would look a little better with the wider front tire. Good luck!
