Is anyone using HD saddlebag supports with a removable backrest? I have an 07XL1200L and these HD supports look like you need to buy all kinds of spacers and additional hardware to install them. They look like they will stick way out and push the bags out as well..

I have the H-D chrome sadlebag supports (part number 90799-94C) which come complete with spacers and chrome upper shock covers. They do push the bags out a bit, but that's what they are designed to do.

Those are the supports I have, however with the removable backrest brackets the saddlebag supports cannot mount flush. It looks like at least a half inch spacer for both the backrest bracket and the shock.
