So I bought a 2000 Sporster, then bought a pair of screaming eagle IIs (at a good price) from a co-worker who had them on a 2005 sportster.Turns out thethe mounting bracketson the pipes are not compatible. Does anyone know of some sort of conversion kit?
No, you need to sell them on ebay and buy a set that fits 96-03. The year pipes you have has the crossover nipples and a cutout for the frame and the mounts are diff. You should be able to get 125 to 200 bucks on ebay according to the condition and how well you list them. List them for 10 days and talk them up a bit. Have at least 4 good pics.List them Monday night around 7:30 PDT. Optimal timing and auction length...
