I was wondering if anyone has added led lights to there ride?I have 3 of them and was thinking of putting them around the motor to show it up a little. Was wondering how to hook them up to the wiring? Can you just patch them into the turn signal wires?or maybe to the ignition?I don't want them to be on all the time just when the bike was running. The set I have doesn't have an on/off switch.
here are some bikes i have done... Lite 'Em Up Customs... click on the link under my sig pic and that will take you to my myspace page...under the main pic in the top left you can see more photos as well as videos..
it is only illegal if they are flashing orhave direct light forward or rear. I have only had one customer out of 38 that has ever recived a ticket... i went to court with him and the judge threw it out... i ended up doing two of the police bikes that the station uses. Yes, some cops will give you flack for it, but i always say... "anything i can do to get me noticed by cars i will do" and belive me... cars do see you!
Never the less, i always run a switch and seperate fuse for each bike... on some bikes i do add a "breathing control" and that allows the light directly under the bike to go from bright to dim and back to bright at an adjustable rate... makes the bike look like it is breathing. for those i runs seperate power and switch on a crossover line
