Definitely glad you okay...I don't know how many mods you had, but that doesn't seem like a bad number considering trade-in value of my 08 Nightster is 8100

DAmn rmodel. Sorry to hear that happened. I am glad you did not get hurt worse. That sucks your hand is hurting and you need it for work. Some people would say sue the beeyatch!
I wrecked a new car once, my fault. So I can only imagine how it must feel on a new bike. Hopefully you'll be able to use the money to get something new. Sorry about the loss -- but at least you are walking and talking and not lying vertical.
I fear the rear ender, they usually do not turn out well. You are very lucky.
I think I would rather hit something head on and take my chances flying through the air than get slammed from behind.
Happy Shopping!!!
I'm a little paranoid about getting rear ended. I check my mirrors at every stop and try to leave a bolt-hole to gun 'er into if it looks like I might have someone hit me.
My last car accident was in my car. I was sitting at a red light, minding my own business when I heard the screech of brakes behind me, then wham! a Tahoe slammed into me. Fortunately, I was in my truck. If I'd been on a bike, I'd've been toast.
