I use the stock seat from a XL50 Sportster when I ride 2-up.
The wife likes it and it doesn't look that bad.

Keep in mind that two up is not comfortable on any Sportster.
I'm not uncomfortable 2-Up on mine...[&:] And the only time the now ex-GF complained was when I would hit a big bump, (cause of the short shocks).

well I certainly disagree with the statement riding two up on any sportster is uncomfortable. the wife and myself have no problem at all doing 300-400 miles in a day. the key is a quality seat and proper suspension set up . the bottom line is those short shocks that give the custom , low and nightster that low slung look suck when it comes to a nice ride two up. If you dont want to change the way your bike sets I would suggest you check into progressive 412 shocks for the rear and progressive front fork springs and a heavier fork oil . get a quality seat I think you can get a mustang solo with a detachable pillon seat and get the quick detach back rest.

Default Mustang seat

I got a Mustang vintage seat. You can also get a 2-up add on that connects in about 2 mins and comes off just as quick. The footpeg bolt holes are on the swing arm and they install in about 15 mins (10 was for the stupid retaining c-ring).

The Mustang seat is a dream compared to the stock Nightster seat. I can ride all day without going numb! I lasted about 15 mins on the stock seat!

I have the Badlander seat and the gf seems comfy enough. She's only 125 though and watches the road so she can lift a bit if we're heading for a big bump. Put it this way, she'll ask if we can take the bike when we head out for dinner or out to meet friends.

I rode about 1000 miles 2 up a couple of weekends ago, to the Hot Springs Rally. My girl never complained once. She absolutely loves it. And there was never really a problem with the suspension either.

nightsters are too cramped. and mid controls are downright annoying when moving around in a parking lot with a passenger.

my usual-passenger also hates the stock ride. her daddy had a softail and so she thinks the sportster is the worst ridding bike ever.

Default phantom suction cup seat

Another vote for the phantom suction cup seat. See pic below.
Great solution for quick on/off occasional 2up riding.

Incidentally, I'm selling mine since my g.friend left me.
