my wife and I are still lookingat bikes for her but having a hard time finding one that fits her. She is almost 5' tall and short legs, she rode the nightsterat demo days but felt uncomfortable at a stop because she is on tippy toes and going on highway ramp she scaped the footpeg. We like the 1200 low but found this is still higher than the nighster and the dealer does not recommend lowering any further. When talking to other independants, they say you can put a bracket on the back to push out the shocks & squeeze the forks on the front to lower the bike evenly.
Right now she rides a 250 Virago which is 28 inches high seat...& her feet touch the ground flat. We've looked at metric & everyone says they can lower their bikes further and have been told their bikes scrape too but this is normal for their bikes. Example the foot board on the Yamaha 1100 as extra metal on the foot board to account for scraping.
We really like the Harley 1200L but would like to lower another1 and 1/2" What is your opinion?
