Chrome Ignition Switch Cover
I put the new chrome cover on my 2007 1200 Custom this past weekend and was wondering what some of you have used to get the outer chromering on/off from the switch. I used a pair of channel locks and a shop rag (for padding) but I know that is probably not the preferred method.I want to make sure it is not going to spin off the threads but am limitedon torque with the channel locks and rag. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

A small punch and a hammer. I guess a small phillips screwdriver would work, too. Put the end of the punch in a groove and tap it with the hammer. I don't remember it taking much to break it loose.
