Default Passenger footpeg extender

I was looking more carefully at my 1200C last night with a view to encouraging my wife to try riding pillion in the coming spring.

Ive already decided on a few mods in this regard. However, I was particularly looking at the passenger footpegs. Sitting on the rear myself it seemed pretty difficult for the passenger not to touch the pipes with their foot.

Are there any adapters, perhaps some sort of extension piece which actually moves the footpeg further out so its past the pipes to avoid this happening?

Or have others found any other way around this issue?

Ideally I would prefer a mini footboard but the above issue would still arise.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Here's an idea.
One could purchase some cylindrical (sp) sleeves to insert between the footbeg bracket and the frame. Then some longer bolts and mission accomplish with a stock look retained.

I used a set of sorta Z shaped offset from curryaching. It moves footrest out about an inch AND rotates infinitely so you can position pegs higher, more forward or lower etc etc. Used them on the Dyna, Sportster and now on the Deuce. If you look at my pictures you will spot them somewhere on the bikes...think the Deuce. Been very handy on all 3 applications. Of course they were about $75....John

Thanks guys for some very helpfull suggestions. It seems I need to be searching kuryakin products for the solution.

The DIY suggestion is extreemly good. unfortunately I'm not particularly talented in that area.
