I dont think "the hooks" or a showdown is going on here, It is about what fits peoples needs. Not everyone is into what quadcambastards does to their bikes, but if you want some parts or some ideas to chop up the bike its a place to look. The xlforum has a ton of info about conversions and tech, and if i want light reading or how to festoon my bike with doodads and whatnots i read here. This forum gets a lot more traffic and opinions from the BT crowd for the good or bad. I think the original poster, looking for feedback about other sites needs to think about what he/she is looking for. For instance, I am rewiring my bike and if I have a question I will go to the xlforum because there are people there with more tech. If I wanted an opinion on American Thunder or some POS Kuryakan part i would ask it here. All web sites are chock full of people who have too much time and are post ****** and serve no purpose but to add opinions where they arent needed. So, rcb020 why not join them all and cherry pick what you want and disregard the lame asses that populate all these forums. Im going to the garage to cut some ****.

I go over to that forum all the time. They have a lot of guys who do their own fabricating and custom finishing, you can get a lot of help if you are trying to do your own project. For a while there they were hell on the Nightster(and owners), but not so much anymore.

It's a great forum in its own way, as are the other forums I frequent (V-Twin, HTT, and sportster.org). I don't let the politics and crap deter me. All the forums have their drama including this one.
