Default Speedo cable

Looking at where my speedo cable goes into the front axle, how does it attach? I'm used to having a nut at the wheel & the speedo, looks like it slips on to me...

Well with out seeing what type of speedo drive you have.. one type the cable end has a threaded collar that screws to the drive then there is one that slips into the drive that has a counter sunk screw that holds it into place.
