Yep Guys, on the Nightster used have the retro grips and the vibration was minimal, and for for suggestion of a coil inside the bars I `ll tried that..thanks
I know I am putting my head in a noose for saying this but.....Its a Sporster thing. Smaller, higher reving engines do that. If you want real vibration, go try a 2003. Softails vibrate too at higher speeds due to the engine being counter balanced. The vibration is just the nature of the beast.
It's been my experience.... that the customs seem to transmit more vibrations through the handlebars more then the other Sportster models.. Rubber bushings and grip change would be your best option.
Might want to have the dealer check it out anyway. Longest ride yet with new to me 06 C has been 1 hour ( Just got it , work , weather ) and no problems with stock grips at all. Now I always wear halves or full gloves when I ride. Now I am gonna change out the slim hand grips for something a little thicker , but not for the vibration. Might be a bike to bike thing like harmonics ?........WVleo
You may be holding the grips to tight. I just rest my hands on them sorta...
If you grip too tight it can cause all kinds of crap right on up into your shoulder blades.
Another thing that will smooth a sporty out is a SE ign module, little known fact
If that aint it maybe youcould have a wheel out of round or something mech. wrong.
OR, you could have a medical condition
Its hard to pinpoint something like that just from a couple of sentences.
