Default hooker troublemakers and rejet

Hey all. Just ordered a set of hooker troublemakers for my 06 1200, and am obviously going to need to rejet again. Im currently running cycle shack slipons, and an arlen ness big sucker air cleaner setup, and my jets are 46 and the stock 180, CV carb, no fuel injection. Anyone out there know what jets I might need for the new troublemakers?

Also, the cycle shack slip-ons are for sale. Ill take any reasonable offer if anyone is interested, they are in perfect condition, they are side turnouts. Thanks again.

FWIW - I'm running SE II's on my 2005 XL1200R with the S&S Teardrop AC and had to go to a #48 pilot and a #185 main to get it running right and to completely get rid of the "coughing" out of the carb...

It's quite possible that no change will be necessary. Put on the new pipes and see how she runs.

I doubt you will need to re-jet. The flow with the troublemakers is goona be about the same as the cycle shacks.

I bet the carb will be fine. If anything, you might need to do a slight re-tune. I'm surprised you didn't replace the high jet with the cycle shacks. I did.

Heya again all. Thanks Sporty, I probably should have gone up past the 180, I will probably do that with this new setup and see how it does or stick with what charley said and leave it alone.

Not to hijack my own post, some time ago I was looking for help on a uniq cycle stereo setup. Got it all installed, only to find out it just wasnt loud enough to hear at highway speeds, so hence uniq stereo got sent back, full refund and good return service, andsuddenly turnedinto troublemakers via uncle sam tax refund, which is how I got to this post after all.

I haven't been in Colorado on my bike, but I've heard they are really cracking down on loud pipes there. Enough so that when a few of us were planning an extended road trip out west for this summer, we intentionally avoided Colorado for our travel plans.

ah good advice sporty. wow had a wierd lunch break, went home to get the bike to come back to work, had an oil fouled plug and one cylinder firing bike was started yesterday, and run once before with the new pipes just around town.hadone tiny bit of oil residue beside the plug before i pulled it out. I'd assume this is from not having the air fuel mix not tuned right yet?The bike hasnt had any trips yet. any advice? thanks
