what does it look like from the rear? with a tag that large I think I would be dragging it in hard left turns. looks like it sticks way too far out.
Its actually inset to within 3/8" clearance of the brake rotor. Here's a rear shot:
Pegs would drag way before the mount would, I tried actually.
Actaully looking at fender strut mounts Dlish, I'm probably moving my signals to the detacheable sideplate bolt in the rear then maybe hanging a mount off the fender struts. But again its a liklihood in MD of getting stopped for improper display of tag with vertical mountwhich makessidemountingan issue overal. Will likely just bob the fender and leave the plate on it.
Yep, MD cops discovered they look stupid whenever they crank their heads sideways to read your plates.....Kinda like a confused dog looks at you whenever you tell it something it doesn't understand.....So they banned verticle plates.
Someone needs to tell them they look stupid all the time.[:@]
I used acheapo and modifiedit some to mount on the inside of the shock.I used a Radiantz(sp?) led up top.I'll be chopping the fender and using a Sparto as a tail/brake light......unlessI find something better.I like the side mount plates that bolt to the primary cover

looks good, I guess the angle of the other shot made it look lower. Real clean and tucked in nice to the rotor. My condolences on the MD tags, wow that is big. nice work!
This is mine. I have the run/turn/stop modual. Damn it, I can't get the pics to show open. Ya gotta click on the attachment link. Sorry for the quality. camera phone

Hey lilred, Out of curiosity what mini signals ya got? I'm looking to put small ones ones on as well and wondered if they clear your detacheable mounts and can be seen? I need to keep my detach backrest setup and looking to either mount smaller signals in the stock hole or on the end of the detachable's bolt.
As for getting all your pics to show just open them to large format from the gallery and copy the url from the top of the window and paste it when inserting an image
