+1 They upgrade to forwards with aftermarket pegs on some bikes as part of the deal when making a sale, so just ask for mid-control pegs as they'll mount to the passenger brackets just the same.
I went to the local dealer when I was chasing a set myself to modify for my rear passenger boards.
Walked in saw the service manager and ask if they had any takeoff rear peg mounts and his reply was "what are takeoffs ?"
Sorry, to that he also added (once I explained what a takeoff was to him) that "no one worries about modifying a sporty their not worth it"
Yes they can as far as I am concerned, and they are I think the oldest and one of the largest dealers we have over here.
I go to a small dealer about 200 odd kilometers from here as they reat you like a person.
I bitched the service manager out one day for a snide *** remark like that. Then found out he rides a damn Suzy Boulevard, now every time I see him I ask him if he's gotten a real bike yet.
Douche bags like that should be put in their place. I never let them a-holes at the parts counter get away with it, neither should anyone else. Next time just say ...."I didn't ask for your worthless f**king opinion, I asked for a part."
