...this was during the rebuild after my accident...best I can do for pics with a factory front end...I thought they were a bit wide for the narrowglide...but with the WG trees, they're perfect. On a Nighty, I'd say go with the RSD's (if you got the cash) or some Gimps.
Let us know when you're done...I think it's a contender for BOTM as it is now, but I think you'd probably want to hard tail it before you consider it. I actually LIKE the shocks on it!
Now, to actually WIN BOTM, it's gotta have hard bags and a fairing! Just joking; sometimes a NON BAGGER wins it.
It's a daily rider (I don't own a car) and half the parts on it are hand-made or hacked to high hell, so it's pretty much all rattle-canned and rigged (but solid, none the less). And while it does sorta add to the charm, I don't know if it'll be BOTM material, even when it is done.
And I have heard mixed feelings about the rear end...it's about 50/50 with people on keeping the shocksor hardtailing it. I've yet to spring for the kit as I'm still trying to decide, myself.
that's right you got in a accident with it right? That maybe when I speak of but anyway still dig it![sm=icon_rock.gif]
Yep, I laid it down last year in june. Instead of using insurance I just started stock piling scratch and dent parts off J&P and garage finds from around Phoenix. It's practically brand new at this point...I pulled the entire upper and lower end out and went through them with a fine-toothed comb...also did the carb, wiring harness, and the whole electrical system. And since my little sis is MMI Alumni (HD program) I get to dyno tune it for free. [8D]
