i purchased my blk foward controls from them took 3 weeks cause they were on back order.
everytime i called had great service.
would definately do business with them again
I just received my shipment from them yesterday (4/8/2008). Placed the order on 3/22/2008. I would not say they ship anything quickly. The main problem I have is the packing slip says all my parts should be in the box but I'm missing the most expensive piece (XL chrome detachable side brackets). I call them up and they say another will be shipped to me but I have no way of knowing anything now. No order number, no email verification of the problem, nothing.
I might just have them cancel the order of the brackets and I'll go buy them locally somewhere.
I ordered black forward controls from them sunday, they sent me e-mails everytime the did somethign with my order, and it shipped out on tuesday, should be here friday.
I spoke to an "Eric" in internet sales today. He told me the missing part arrived and is being shipped to me today. That was good because if they sounded confused or weren't sure what I was waiting on I was just going to cancel that piece of the order and have them refund me the money.
It seems like Chicago Harley is the classic middle-man. Take your money, order the parts from harley and then re-package them and ship them to you for 20% off. Seems fine if you are ok with a bit of waiting. Give them a call if a week goes by and your order status never changes, over the phone they can give you an ETA and more info.
