Hey everybody, I noticed some of you out there have the sidekick 2-up seat on their nightster. I got mine in about a week ago, put it on, and went for a ride. About40 miles down the road it popped off up front where the lip inserts into the slot under the tank. I stopped at a gas station, put it back on, and at the next light it did it again. I would have it as snug as possible up against the tank and held in tight and it still wants to pop out of the slot. Anybody have this problem with theirs?
I talked to the Harley parts guy and he said that for the nightster you have to have a little extra piece that's kind of like a plastic washer. I took that home and re-installed the seat this time with the extra piece but I'm not sure if I put it in the right place because the instructions don't say anything anywhere about an extra piece or even what kit number is for the XL1200N. It has every other Sportster that the seat fits, and 2 different tables depending on what model you have. But I don't know which table to go by since niether of them have XL1200N.
