hi Guys,
Do anyone have Velocity Stack intake in their `07 Sportster, if do, can U post picture of it, I think that will be awesome look in the bike..thanks in advance
I don't think you will find many people using them other than for racing. There is no way to get enough adequate filter media surface area on the stack without over restricting the airflow.
yeah if you are not racing or showing the bike, i would stay away from it. As Charley said, there is not a good way to filter the air, and yo uwill suck up all kinds of crap with it that is horrible for your motor
You can run a stack on the street if you want, but why? You mad at your scoot or something. Those things will suck in all kinds of crap into your motor. Stick with something with a filter, unless you are doing a show bike. Forcewinder, Screaming Eagle, others I forget, will do an excellent job and look good doing it too.
Eh...This is a gray area to me...I know plenty of people that run em daily, never had a problem. It just depends on weather conditions and how much you spend on the stack screen. WIth the right parts, they're harmless and won't do anything but make it a PITA to tune.
Open intake is not a grey area too me... Asking for mucho troubles...
Dont take but once to cost you an arm and a leg
Right filter/screen is a must...
