Finally got to get the new bike out for the first real ride. I rode my new 07 Sporty 1200 C home a few weeks ago, but that doesn't count (cold, not too enjoyable). Got out with a few buddies up here in Maine today. Sun is bright and it's about 42 F outside right now. Had to wash the bike when I got back due to some dirt spray, but overall a great time. That 1200 really pulls! I've got her set up to Stage 1 right now.
I noticed a post from a guy with a similar bike (I think his is a 1200R) with some big time rust. How does that happen? I've seen rusty old bikes, but nothing too new. Is there something I should be doing to keep rust like that away, especially where I like above the rust belt like he does?
