Ain't no sunshine......
First the forecast put today being 72, and I was elated. Not only to get to see the sun; but to be able to ride with out the tornado/lightning/monsoon all around me.
Well... they LIED!
I had already committed to riding in to town today for a orientation I had to do @ 9:00a.m. Which meant I had to leave by 8:00a.m., and this was one of 'those' mornings. You know the type... coffee pot wont work, can't find your belt, someone locked BOTH gates to get off the property (me-dumb-***). I knew I should not have re-set the alarm to sleep extra.
Anyway, like I said, I already committed to ride the scooter. So here I was fighting with my leathers, when I become informed that the forecast was wrong, at it is 10 past the hour.
The ride in wasn't so bad, I was so hot from fighting with the leathers, fighting with the gates, fighting with my saddlebags, that I almost didn't didn't feel the icy fingers trying to steal every ounce of warmth I had.
I was riding, the sun was not behind storm clouds, and even with out coffee... that was still great.
The ride back - when the 32-36 degree wind chill really kicked in [&:]... wasn't as great. I just kept telling myself... a week more of rain, a week more of rain...
I wish all of you some decent scooter time this week.
It's the first day it hasn't rained in... I don't remember when, and it is due to start pouring again tomorrow. We are building boats around here.
