It sounds like if you were in the middle of a turn, you couldn't have avoided it. I haven't crashed but I've dropped mine twice. It makes you sick to see the scratches. No one cleans up after themselves in this county. Sevier County has been widening our rural road for over a year now. They take a grader and scrape the dirt back two or three feet then pour gravel on it. About a month later they shoot and chip the gravel and pour more gravel. So every turn has gravel in it. Does the county care? Not one bit. I hope your injuries heal quickly and you get back on and enjoy riding again.
The silver lining in this cloud is NOW you will be 10x as aware and alert as before the fall - This fall which thank God you are walking away from may save you from some other road hazard in the future -
Get Well and Get Back on the Saddle - ride safe
WERBECK ..YOUR BIKE LOOKS STUNNING... WHATS THE RAKE ON THE FORKS, WHERE DID PURCHASE THEM FROM.. IS IT STOCK FRAME....???
BRIGGER YALDING-UK
Thanks all for the encouragement. They are estimating the damage a little over $3000. But the dealer is saying it make take 8 WEEKS to get all the parts in!!
Brigger- thanks but it is just a stock frame and forks
Sounds like you took the bike to Boswell's. I won't take 8 weeks to get the parts in. They just won't get around to fixing the bike for that long. They took forever last summer getting RoadHead's bike repaired.

Man I hope not, you could order a bike with a custom paint set in less time than that.

Yup, that's just Boswell's "old school" Harley dealership mentality. They've been in business since 1950. They still do business like they're the only game in town. Someone should tell them, and other bikers, there are about 7 other dealers in the general area.
